Fire Displaces Philadelphia College Students

No injuries were reported.

Fire ripped through an abandoned home in the Mantua section of Philadelphia, resulting in the evacuation of 19 people, many of them Drexel University students, from nearby buildings.

Firefighters responded to the 3800 block of Lancaster Avenue when the fire broke out at about 3 a.m. Thursday.

No one was injured in the fire. The Red Cross will house two of the students. The rest of the residents will be allowed back into their homes once they receive clearance from the fire marshal.
