The following is a release from the First Response Coalition-- a non-profit organization that acts on behalf of the legislative and functional interests of first responders:

Washington, D.C. -- April 20, 2006 -- With only 42 days before the 2006 hurricane season begins, the First Response Coalition (FRC) today released a new report that shows many first responders in eight hurricane prone states in the Gulf Coast and Atlantic regions still do not have the necessary equipment and resources for communications interoperability.
