Victim had chased kids into the woods. When he returned, his bed was on fire.

A fire at a condominium complex in Alexandria might have been deliberately set, officials said.

The fire broke out at about 8 a.m. Thursday at the Park Fairfax complex on Gunston Road.

The owner of the unit where the fire started suspects arson. Christopher Schewe said that before the fire began, he chased some kids from some woods behind his condo. While he was still outside, Schewe looked back into his bedroom and saw his bed was on fire.

Firefighters are still investigating the cause and Schewe's claim.
