News4 has learned that a model home under construction was destroyed early Wednesday morning in Accokeek, Md.

Prince George's County fire officials said they got the call about 4:19 a.m., to a fire at Livingston and Farmington roads. But by the time firefighters arrived, the house was reduced to a pile of rubble.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The fire scene is not far from a fire in December 2004, which has been called the largest arson fire in Maryland's history.

There were several arrests and convictions in connection with that fire.
