Fire officials say a blaze that damaged a lumber company Tuesday might have begun when workers tried to file saw blades.
Six fire departments responded to Wooley Lumber Company at about 6 p.m. Fire officials were concerned that the blaze might spread to sawdust collectors.
"They were using a torch to heat up and knock off the tips of the blades so they could resharpen them to use them again," said Mooresville assistant fire chief Doug Allen.
One firefighter received minor injuries while battling the blaze when a ceiling collapsed, pushing him onto a saw blade.
