Firefighters were busy overnight battling three fires in Orange County.

Six children were rescued from a blaze on West Pierce near Oak Ridge Road, WESH 2 News reported.

The two adults, who were also in the home, made it out safely. However, a family dog died, and they lost all their Christmas presents.

A second home also burned on South Lee Avenue, and a third fire was reported on Zelma Street. Nobody was hurt in either blaze, but both homes were destroyed.
