Fort Wayne firefighters sustained minor injuries battling an apartment house fire this morning.

It started just before 2:00 a.m. at the corner of Kinnaird and Broadway. It took firefighters almost two hours to get it under control.

The house had three apartments. Investigators think it started in one of the back units. Two of the injured firefighters were treated at the scene. Two others were treated and released from Parkview Hospital.

They are all fine. No one who lived there was hurt. Larry Billman's daughter spotted the fire and called 911. "I ran over and found a guy downstairs, he wasn't aware of the fire, so we got him out," said Billman.

The house is completely destroyed. It's not clear what started the fire.
