Virginia Fire And Rescue Volunteers Continue Loyal Firefighter’s Christmas Mission

A firefighter, an emergency medical technician, and chief of the North Mountain Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, Mitch Grim dedicated his life to helping others

A firefighter, an emergency medical technician, and chief of the North Mountain Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, Mitch Grim dedicated his life to helping others.

Seven years ago Mitch took his compassion for others a step further and with help from the North Mountain company organized the Needy Christmas Fund.

By 1999, all the fire and rescue companies in Frederick County and Winchester were helping with the annual event, which has brought Christmas joy to hundreds of area families and children.
