MI Firefighter Dies after Heart Attack at Station

Madison Heights Fire Capt. Jeff Brozich, a 20-year veteran of the department, was on duty when he suffered the fatal medical emergency Monday.

A Michigan firefighter died of a medical emergency while on duty Monday.

Madison Heights Fire Capt. Jeff Brozich, 57. was at the station when he suffered the emergency while at the station, WXYZ-TV reports. According to a U.S. Fire Administration update, Brozich had a fatal heart attack.

Brozich was a 20-year veteran of the department, according to Madison Heights' firefighters union. He is survived by his wife, who is a Madison heights police officer, and three children.
