Conn. Police Save Resident, Pets

SOUTHINGTON, Conn. --   Three police officers were treated for smoke inhalation after pulling a person from a burning Southington home Saturday evening. Flames broke out at a home on Anne Road just after 6 p.m. Members of the Southington Police Department pulled the home’s occupant and several pets from the house. Three officers were taken to the Hospital of Central Connecticut Bradley Campus.

SOUTHINGTON, Conn. --

Three police officers were treated for smoke inhalation after pulling a person from a burning Southington home Saturday evening.

Flames broke out at a home on Anne Road just after 6 p.m.

Members of the Southington Police Department pulled the home’s occupant and several pets from the house. Three officers were taken to the Hospital of Central Connecticut Bradley Campus. They were treated and released for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters got the blaze under control within 40 minutes and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Firefighters remained at the home through most of the night extinguishing hot spots.
