Ind. Barn Fire Kills Horses, Injures FF

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. -- Four people were injured, including a firefighter, in a blaze that destroyed two horse barns near Anderson on Monday. It took six fire departments two hours Monday morning to bring the blaze at Baker's Equine Center east of the city under control. Fourteen horses were killed at the horse boarding and breeding operation. The firefighter and three others injured in the blaze were taken to area hospitals, but none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. --

Four people were injured, including a firefighter, in a blaze that destroyed two horse barns near Anderson on Monday.

It took six fire departments two hours Monday morning to bring the blaze at Baker's Equine Center east of the city under control.

Fourteen horses were killed at the horse boarding and breeding operation.

The firefighter and three others injured in the blaze were taken to area hospitals, but none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.

Investigators said the cause of the fire had not been determined Monday evening.
