Heavy Rescue 35

Rescue 4 is certified by the state of North Carolina as a Heavy Rescue Squad. The unit's body is an 18 foot walk-around built by Hackney and is equipped with a 25kw AMPS pto generator, a high pressure cascade system, and reels for hydraulic, air, and electric lines. Light is provided from a 25 foot, 6kw light tower. The unit carries a full array of rescue equipment including Hurst hydraulic tools (spreaders, cutters, combo-tools, rams, and electric and gas powered pumps), cribbing, high pressure air bags, rope rescue equipment, technical rescue equipment, a supplied breathing air system, and much more. Rescue 4 responds to all motor vehicle accidents and special rescue calls.
