This unit was originally built by the Mount Vernon WA Fire Dept as an engine, utilizing a Cadillac touring car chassis. It was sold to the FHFD in 1943, for $148. It remained in service for the next decade. After years of neglect, the unit was restored privately (minus the pump)in 1988. It is used extensively by the department as a primary parade piece.
