Showcase: Denver, Pa. Custom Pumper/Tanker

The Fivepointville Fire Company in Denver, Pa. recently took delivery of a KME custom pumper/tanker.

The unit is built on a Predator 100-inch cab and chassis with a 22-inch raised roof and seating for eight occupants. It also has a 16-inch front bumper extension and roll stability control.

For fighting fires, it has a Hal Qmax 175, 1,750-gpm single stage pump and a 2,500-gallon water tank with three Newton dump valves and a 2 1/2-inch Fireman's Friend at the rear.

The 34-foot 5-inch long apparatus also has 199-inch flatback body constructed of 3/16-inch aluminum with a vertical ladder storage compartment on the officer's side of the body beside the tank. It features pull-out tool board, adjustable shelves and pull-out trays.

For electrical needs, the apparatus is fitted with a Weldon V-Mux multiplex system, Whelen warning lights, Hannay electric cord reel and a rear vision camera.
