Mulvane Fire Rescue has put into service a 2013 Toyne rescue truck designed to not only perform rescues, but to serve as a mobile air and lighting apparatus as well.
It's built on an International 7400, four-door, 4x4 cab and chassis with seating for four and featuring a rear storage console in the cab.
The aluminum body is 18 feet long and has been modified to fit the department's needs now and into the future. It will respond on injury motor vehicle accident, EMS assists, specialized rescues, hazmat incidents and structure fires.
It carries a full complement of rescue gear including Hurst Jaws of Life, air bags, saws, cribbing, and hand tools. It has a built in Tri-Max 30 CAFS system with 100-foot Hannay 1-inch hose reel.
Truck is equipped with a 25kw Onan PTO generator with hot shift PTO and FROG power monitor. It has a 9,000-watt Will-Burt Nightscan Light tower and four 1,500 watt Optimum scene lights and Whelen LED emergency lighting package.
Truck comes with a 14-foot retractable awning and Slidemaster roll-out trays with dual LED compartment lighting. Truck has a ASA voyager camera system, Ramsey 8,000 pound front- or rear-mount winch, one Hannay 120-volt, 100-foot cord reel and one Hannay 100-foot hydraulic reel, both rear mounted.
