Firefighters with the Hamilton Emergency Services in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada can reach new heights with a 103-foot AerialCat, rear-mount aerial built by KME.
The unit is built on a KME Predator cab and chassis with a MaxxForce engine and an Allison transmission. It has customized storage in the cab extension for Stokes baskets and cord reels.
To fight fire it has a Hale 2,000-gpm pump with two Hades hot water heaters for the pump enclosure, a 500-gallon polypropylene tank and a side-mount pump panel.
Other features include a 12-gauge stainless steel body, Amdor roll-up doors, a Slide-Shot hosebed inside the ladder tunnel to accommodate 1,000-feet of 4-inch LDH supply line, Whelen Emergency light package, Fire Research scene lights, an Onan hydraulic generator, and two Hannay 120-volt electric cord reels.It was sold by Mark Boyle of Metz Fire & Rescue, Guelph, Ontario.
