The Philmont, N.Y., Fire Company, which consists of over 60 volunteer firefighters, recently added its fifth apparatus, a custom bolted stainless steel pumper. The Toyne side-mount pumper was built on a Spartan Gladiator EMFD 5-inch raised roof cab and chassis and is powered by a Cummins ISL 450-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fires, it has a Waterous CSUC20 1,500-gpm pump, UPF 1,250-gallon tank, and a Foam Pro 2001 Class A foam system. It is also equipped with  Fire Research telescoping lights.
