Boonton, NJ, Fire Department has placed into service a 2016 Rescue 1/PL Custom rescue truck, built on a Spartan cab and chassis.

Boonton, NJ, Fire Department has placed into service a 2016 Rescue 1/PL Custom rescue truck, built on a Spartan cab and chassis. The truck has a Cummins 450 hp motor and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. There is an eight-person cab, roll-up compartment doors, 30,000-watt generator plus two portable Honda generators, Will-Burt light tower, roof-top compartments and compartments behind the rear steps, plus a rehab awning. In addition, this unit has a 9,000-pound portable winch with four receivers, storage space for spare air bottles, plus transverse compartments.  Stored in the apparatus is an inflatable boat and a motor for same, dive equipment, haz-mat equipment plus a speedy dry hopper.
