Knox-Center Township Fire Department replaces older apparatus with a new Toyne pumper built on a Spartan cab and chassis.

The Knox-Center Township, IN, Volunteer Fire Department received delivery of a new customized Toyne pumper, it's second. It's built on a Spartan Metro Star MFD chassis powered by a Cummins ISL 450-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. It has a customized Toyne customized bolted stainless steel body with a 500-gallon UPF tank and a Waterous CSUC20 1,500-gpm pump. It also as a FoamPro 2001 Class A foam system, a Task Force Tips Y4-E Monsoon series electric monitor and Fire Research lights.
