Fire Investigator Brent Burke writes about the steps taken by the Thornton, CO, Fire Department after an investigator was asked about the tool decontamination process by an attorney while in the courtroom. Burke details the process that the fire department went through to keep tools free of any contaminants after an investigation is completed.
