5.11's new FR-x3™ Fire Resistant Station wear has undergone NFTA testing and has been approved to NFPA 1975. For this new line of FR station wear, 5.11 has partnered with the fabric manufacturing industry leader and innovator, Milliken®. For more than 140 years, Milliken has been one of the world's leading textile companies. Today Milliken brings their Amplitude® fabric to the public safety market through 5.11's FR-x3 apparel.

Soft, breathable fabric is not usually what comes to mind when describing FR apparel, but 5.11's new FR-x3 line with Milliken Amplitude fabric offers a level of comfort other FR products can't compete with.

Styles include Class A shirts in both long and short sleeve and station pants, each in both men's and women's fits. Available in all FR-x3 styles, 5.11 new women's fit has been overwhelmingly popular with female public safety professionals and is the industry's most modern. The new women's pants sit at the natural waist for improved movement and range of motion without pinching or binding. An updated leg silhouette with a slight boot cut is not only more comfortable, but lengthens the leg for a more flattering fit and professional appearance. New women's shirts have also been redesigned with a more modern fit to give a less boxy cut and appropriate sleeve lengths.

The durable new FR-x3 Class A Shirt is made with 5.5oz Poplin, 88% Cotton/12% Nylon Milliken Amplitude fabric. Not only impressive for innovation in comfort and breathability, FR-x3 Class A Shirts, like 5.11's best selling polos, are also wrinkle, shrink and fade resistant. Additional shirt features include concealed snap front plackets and stitched in creases for a professional look. The long sleeve version has concealed snap closures at the sleeve placket. Priced starting at $84.99 and available in fire navy the FR-x3 Class A Shirt will be available in October 2010.

Using the proven and popular fit of 5.11's 100% cotton station wear, the new FR-x3 Station Pant uses a 7.5oz weight of 88% Cotton/12% Nylon Milliken Amplitude fabric and is made with YKK® Nomex® zippers, Nomex thread, and Prym® snaps. A self-adjusting waistband offers additional comfort and a gusseted crotch gives freedom of movement. Also included are extra deep front pockets and Doubletime™ belt loops that secure your belt and the strap on your radio or other device. Treated to be wrinkle, shrink, and fade resistant, 5.11 FR-x3 Station Pants will outlast all others making them great value starting at $99.99. Available in October 2010.
