About Scott Lucero After winning the American Power Boat Association’s 2000 National Championship, Scott Lucero was tragically shot in a random act of gang violence. As a result he sustained a shattered femur which, doctors said, ended his racing career. Now, ten years later, against all odds, he’s preparing for his comeback to the racing world, this time in the quarter mile.

About JKR Racing JKR was founded in Canada 15 years ago. In 2005 Owner/Operators Rob and Natalie Green moved to California to establish their name in the history books of the NHRA and build race cars to compete on such legendary race tracks as Famoso and Pomona raceways: both Rob and Natalie (being Race Drivers themselves) are an exciting team and bring the first hand racing knowledge of being in the car to the building process of the car. Rob is responsible for building the world’s fastest Ambulance and Doug McDermott’s 1969 Camaro “HotStuff,” all the while building and running his 1970 Chevy Nova for Monster Energy (and now the 1978 Camaro for Pelican Products and Scott Lucero).

Hot Rod Heritage Racing SeriesTo help preserve NHRA’s rich history and tradition while capitalizing on the success of nostalgia drag racing competition, NHRA formed the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series that will crown year-end point champions in 14 categories.
