A 1,000-acre brush fire jumped a fire line on Tuesday morning in the northwestern portion of the blaze.

The blaze ignited on Monday morning near Wekiva Park Road and state Road 46, WESH 2 News reported.

Heavy smoke prompted officials to close S.R. 46 for several hours on Monday afternoon, and an evacuation was ordered for Lynchs Lane, Wekiva Pines Boulevard, Webb Way and Quail Hollow. Residents were allowed to return to their homes by nightfall.

Video from Chopper 2 showed the fire apparently jumped several fire lines about 500 to 600 feet to the east of the flames, and the fire is continuing to move toward the west. The fire is not endangering any homes on Tuesday morning.
