The fire broke out Sunday afternoon on the western slopes of the 4,800-foot Mount Hamilton. mountain.

Winds of up to 25 mph fanned the fire. which drew It took about 300 fire personnel from CDF and San Jose, two helicopters and three bulldozers to halt the blaze.

No one was injured and no structures were destroyed. The cause remains under investigation.
