    The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced that the application period for the 2002 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program will open on March 1, 2002. This year’s $360 million program is an improved effort to help the nation's fire service community by providing vital funds to local fire departments across the country.
