MANALAPAN, NJ, FIRE DISTRICT 1 has taken delivery of a Pierce rescue pumper built on a Pierce Arrow XT custom chassis. The vehicle features the Pierce Ultimate Configuration (PUC) system with a 1,500-gpm pump and 500-gallon tank. Other components include storage for 1,000 feet of five-inch hose on top of the vehicle, two light towers, 30-kilowatt generator, six-bottle SCBA storage rack and full complement of ground ladders stored inside the body.
