VENTURA COUNTY, CA, MAY 1, 2013 – A Ventura County Fire Department/Sheriff Department helicopter makes a water drop in Hidden Valley behind million-dollar homes on Protrero Canyon Road as a forest fire burned a large area in the county. Forest fuel moistures were at critical levels in Southern California, two months ahead of schedule, and strong northeast winds plagued California on May 1 and May 2.

LOS ANGELES, CA, APRIL 16, 2013 – Three people were burned to death and one person was injured when the vehicle they were in struck a cement light standard and burst into flames in South Los Angeles. Firefighters from Engine 57 battle the flames.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA, APRIL 13, 2013 – An early-evening fire went to three alarms to request additional manpower and apparatus needed to save the fire building. Five towns responded.

NEW ORLEANS, LA, APRIL 3, 2013 – Firefighters attack a three-alarm fire in a two-story, brick-and-tin warehouse containing insulation. The fire was well involved on arrival of first-due Squirt 16 and destroyed the building. A total collapse occurred.
