Drill #141: Hose Lays
As any firefighter worth their weight knows, you cannot put a fire out without having an adequate supply of water. With all the modern apparatus infiltrating the fire service these days, none are successful in bringing the right amount of water and that’s why we establish relays. Readers will learn who should lay the hose and how it should be done.
The drill is designed to be a single page of information to conjure up discussions among your crew members. Sit down and talk about the exercises, and how they may apply to your company. But, just don't read them. Get moving. Head to an appropriate area and train.
