Roof ventilation is one of the most dangerous and important assignment on the fireground.
Proper Ventilation can make or break an entire fireground operation especially when it comes to
hose line advances, search and rescue while increasing the safety of interior firefighters and the
civilians they are trying to save. This compelling program is delivered by some of the most
seasoned Chicago Fire Department veterans with years of roof operation experiences. The
course instruction includes all aspects of roof constructions, roof safety and roof operations.
Everything from tools of the trade, roof size-ups, engineered construction systems, conventional
construction systems, roof ladders and ground ladder operations, roof cuts, tower ladder
applications, pitched roof ventilation, flat roof ventilation, high rise, safety and much more.
