Engine Company Operations Hands-On Training

Sept. 25, 2012 - Sept. 27, 2012

Students will actively participate in three days of hands-on evolutions and decision making fire ground scenarios relating to water supply, hose loads, nozzles, and line stretches under live fire conditions.  These learned skill sets will prepare the student to service their respective districts/ municipalities/ cities. Students will advance lines as members of an attack team under various realistic scenarios of fire attack.

This is a 3 day HANDS-ON CLASS, 98% Hands-on and 2% classroom.  Students can expect to get wet & dirty every day of class.  Please come prepared to learn, be a team player, and work!

This class with run in conjunction with the Truck Company Operations class to provide realistic coordinated fireground scenarios.

Equipment needed: NFPA approved structural turnout gear, SCBA w/ extra bottle.  Second set of turnout gear optional.

Instructors:  The team of instructors is comprised of firefighters and fire officers from across the county with experience in urban, suburban, and rural firefighting.
