In honor and memory of FDNY Lt. Joseph DiBernardo (Joey D) the foundation presents a training weekend with top fire department instructors.

  • Deputy Chief (ret.) Vincent Dunn on firefighting in private dwellings and strip malls
  • Battalion Chief Frank Montagana on utility emergency tactics
  • Battalion (ret.) Chief John Salka on "Get Out Alive"
  • Capt. Mike Dugan (ret.) on truck company operations
  • Capt. Bobby Morris on forcible entry tactics
  • Capt. Tony Tricarico (ret.) on elevator emergencies
  • Firefighter John O'Connell (ret.) on collapse shoring updates
  • Special introduction by FDNY Chief of Department Ed Kilduff

Proceeds from the 16 hours of training will go to the foundation for the purpose of saving firefighters lives through training and the purchase of perosnal life saving ropes. The cost is $200 and must be paid in advance. A photo ID is required to enter the facility where the training is being held.
