Manchester, NH, Aug. 2, 2015—Manchester, NH, Fire Department crews responded to reports of heavy fire in two buildings—a 2½-story wood-frame and a 3-story wood-frame—both of which were occupied. Firefighters stretched multiple handlines and conducted primary searches of the building before the district chief ordered all companies out of the structures. Crews then moved to an exterior attack with master streams.

Detroit, Aug. 5, 2015—Companies in Detroit's 6th Battalion responded to reports of a fire in a large, vacant commercial building. An immediate defensive posture was taken as the fire was already through the roof. An additional truck with a platform was requested to the scene for tower operations.

Los Angeles, July 21, 2015—Los Angeles County Fire Department crews battle a stubborn fire involving titanium metal shavings at a manufacturing facility. Sand had to be brought in to cover the material due to the titanium's reaction to water. More than 100 firefighters and numerous hazmat units battled the blaze before it was declared a knockdown in just under 2 hours.

Haddam, CT, Aug. 6, 2015—Firefighters from the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company use a 1¾-inch hose to extinguish a vehicle fire on Route 9. The driver had already exited the vehicle.
