La. Crews Battle 4-Alarmer at Apartment Complex

METAIRIE, La. -- Firefighters in Jefferson Parish responded to an apartment complex fire that was upgraded to four alarms late Sunday night. The fire began at the Chateau Napoleon Apartments at 3701 West Napoleon Avenue at about 9 p.m. and quickly became a three-alarm blaze. It was still burning hours later -- upgraded to a fourth alarm. Dozens of firefighters worked to control the flames. The glow of the fire could be seen from buildings miles away in downtown New Orleans.
