Morristown is a progressive community with a personal touch. Morristown is located in the Lakeway area in East Tennessee between Cherokee Lake and Douglas Lake in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains. The Morristown Fire Department was established 1855 and serves 25,000 citizens with seventy-two fire suppression employees and six administrative staff. The Grand Opening of Fire Station 5 was August 23, 2004. There are four bedrooms in Fire Station 5 with twelve beds for twelve fire suppression employees.
