     The Westminster Fire Engine and Hose Co. No. 1 was established in 1823. This is a volunteer department serving a population of over 50,000 covering both urban and rural first dues in the state of Maryland.
    The Westminster Fire Department is Carroll County's Station 3. The new station was open on October 24, 1998. It is 35,280 sq. ft. and has seven drive through bays.Photos by Andrew Finkner & Peter Johnson
