     The Houston Fire Department in Houston Texas opened fire station number 83 in March of 2005. It is a new station and will provide fire protection and ems service in the rapidly expanding west side of Houston. The three bay station currently houses three apparatus: an engine, an ambulance and a paramedic squad vehicle.
