The City of Staunton Fire & Rescue's presents its newest station-- Station 2. The station was opened on March 27, 2006 to better serve the west end of the city. We dropped the response times from 7-9 minutes to 2-4 minutes. The station is home to 9 personnel between 3 shifts and they staff an ALS engine company. The department's brush truck and all-terrain vehicle are housed there also. Engine 3 also answers calls in the western portions of Augusta County providing assistance to the volunteer stations in those areas.
