VA Firefighter Dies of Heart Attack During Training

A firefighter from a Virginia county to the west of Richmond died last week after suffering a medical emergency during training.

The U.S. Fire Administration on Monday announced the line-of-duty death of Amelia County firefighter William Henry Moore IV after the 48-year-old suffered a fatal heart attack during training last Thursday night.

Moore, a two-year fire service veteran, is survived by his wife Loretta, son William Henry Moore V and stepchildren Eric Anders and Heather Anders.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, according to the website of the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home in Amelia.
