Rostraver Central Firefighter John Bunardzya answered his final alarm Saturday night.
Bunardzya, 73, died Sunday morning at his home, WPXI reported.
He started fighting fires at Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Company and was a life member of North Belle Vernon Fire Department Station 80.
He will be remembered for his sharp wit and dedication to the community, firefighters wrote on the department's Facebook page.
Funeral arrangements will be announced.
