It took 100 Los Angeles, CA, firefighters operating 16 engines, nine ladders, eight rescue ambulances and four battalion command teams to control a fire in a three-story dwelling in Encino. Four firefighters were injured in the Oct. 30, 2013, fire.

Dedication: This month’s Firehouse® is dedicated to Engineer Greg Hennessey, 49, of the Orange County, CA, Fire Authority; Firefighter James A. Dickman, 31, and Firefighter Stephen A. Machcinski, 42, of the Toledo, OH, Fire Department; Fire Chief Rick Winkles, 53, of the Trumann, AR, Fire Department; and Pilot Jake Harrell, 34, of the Arkansas Forestry Commission, who died in the line of duty, January 2014.
