Texas Football Stadium Evacuated for Illness

HOUSTON -- A Houston high school football stadium evacuated after members of the band became ill. Houston firefighters said the north side of Barnett Stadium was evacuated Friday night during the Austin and Yates football game. Several of the Austin High School band members were experiencing dizziness, severe nausea, and vomiting. Houston Fire Department said 24 people, including one firefighter, were treated. Hazmat crews were on scene testing an unknown substance.

Houston firefighters said the north side of Barnett Stadium was evacuated Friday night during the Austin and Yates football game. Several of the Austin High School band members were experiencing dizziness, severe nausea, and vomiting.

Houston Independent School District police were also investigating.
