MIAMI BEACH, Fla. --

A fire engine and a double-decker tour bus were involved in a crash in Miami Beach on Monday.

Miami Beach police said the collision forced officers to close an area off Dade Boulevard and Washington Avenue to 23rd Street and Pinetree Drive.

One person was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition, and another was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with minor injuries, Miami Beach police said. Investigators have not released the identities of the injured people.

Police said only the driver and a tour guide were aboard the bus at the time of the crash.

Collins Avenue, Prairie Avenue and Alton Road are alternate routes.
