Two Florida Firefighters Hurt in Fire Truck Crash

Two Florida firefighters were injured early Friday when their fire truck crashed into a tree after the driver suffered a medical emergency.South Trail Fire District Deputy Chief Ben Bengston told The Miami Herald that the firefighters were on a routine call early when the driver got sick. He says no other vehicles were involved.

Two Florida firefighters were injured early Friday when their fire truck crashed into a tree after the driver suffered a medical emergency.

A third firefighter was not injured in the crash. The passenger was treated and released from the hospital while the driver was being held for observation, the paper reported.

Bengston says there was about $100,000 in damage to the vehicle.
