Maryland Firefighters Rescue Man From Trench

BALTIMORE -- Firefighters on Monday rescued a construction worker who was trapped in a trench. The incident occurred in the 2900 block of Woodvalley Drive in Pikesville, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department. The man, whose name wasn't released, was trapped from the waist down. He was taken to Shock Trauma with non-life-threatening injuries. Fire officials said the Monday afternoon rescue took about two hours.

The incident occurred in the 2900 block of Woodvalley Drive in Pikesville, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department. The man, whose name wasn't released, was trapped from the waist down.

He was taken to Shock Trauma with non-life-threatening injuries.

Fire officials said the Monday afternoon rescue took about two hours.

Members of the Texas Fire Station and Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company assisted in the effort.
