Texas Firefighter Hurt in Floor Collapse

SAN ANTONIO -- A mobile home fire sent one firefighter to the hospital early Wednesday morning. Firefighters said the fire started at around 1 a.m. in the 11000 block of Culebra Road. Firefighters battled smoke and flames for about 20 minutes and contained it to a bedroom. However, the firefighter was hurt when part of the floor collapsed, fire officials said. There was no word on his condition early Wednesday morning . No one else was injured.

Firefighters said the fire started at around 1 a.m. in the 11000 block of Culebra Road.

Firefighters battled smoke and flames for about 20 minutes and contained it to a bedroom.

However, the firefighter was hurt when part of the floor collapsed, fire officials said. There was no word on his condition early Wednesday morning . No one else was injured.

Fire officials estimated $15,000 in damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
