Arizona Firefighter Injured in Fire Truck Rollover

A Rural Metro firefighter was hospitalized early Thursday morning after his fire truck rolled over in Casa Grande.
A Rural Metro firefighter was hospitalized early Thursday morning after his fire truck rolled over in Casa Grande, according to KNXV-TV.

A white vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed ran a stop sign at an intersection and into the path of the fire truck shortly after 1 a.m.

The fire truck's driver swerved to miss the car, causing the rollover.

There were two firefighters inside the fire truck at the time of the incident. One was transported to the Casa Grande Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

The white vehicle was located by the Pinal County Sheriff's Office and was found occupied by eight or nine illegal immigrants.

The passengers were turned over to Casa Grande Police Department and the U.S. Border Patrol.
