One Killed in Oklahoma Plane Crash

ELK CITY, Okla. -- One person was killed in a plane crash near Elk City on Thursday, the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed. An FAA spokesperson told Eyewitness News 5 that a single-engine experimental aircraft called a Tailwind W8 left Sayre at about 11:15 a.m. and disappeared from air-traffic control radar by about 12:15 p.m. Wreckage was found near Elk City, and local police confirmed the single occupant was killed in the crash. The name of the person killed has not been released.
