Three People Hurt in Colorado Duplex Fire

BOULDER, Colo. -- Twenty-five firefighters from the Boulder Fire Department put out a blaze at a duplex at 408 and 410 Arapahoe Ave. Monday. The communication center got multiple 911 calls around 3:12 a.m. When firefighters got there, the duplex at 410 Arapahoe Ave. was engulfed in flames. Five adults were inside. One was flown to University Hospital to be treated for severe burns. Two others were transported to Boulder Community Hospital to be evaluated for smoke inhalation.

Twenty-five firefighters from the Boulder Fire Department put out a blaze at a duplex at 408 and 410 Arapahoe Ave. Monday. The communication center got multiple 911 calls around 3:12 a.m.

When firefighters got there, the duplex at 410 Arapahoe Ave. was engulfed in flames.

Five adults were inside. One was flown to University Hospital to be treated for severe burns. Two others were transported to Boulder Community Hospital to be evaluated for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters pulled ceilings and knocked down walls to make sure there were no hot spots inside.

Investigators said it’s too early to say what caused the fire, or estimate damages to the building.
