Ariz. Rescuers Aid Injured Crane Operator

PHOENIX -- Tempe Firefighters were called to the Tempe Diablo Stadium for a rescue operation of an injured crane operator at the baseball stadium. Tempe fire spokesman Capt. Mike Reichling said the injured man was suspended 15 feet in the air on a crane at Tempe Diablo Stadium at 2200 West Almedia Way. Reichling said the man had been positioning his crane for use later that day, when the support machinery holding things steady shifted and he broke his leg.

The operation involved putting the man on a gurney and lowering him to the ground, said Reichling.
