A firefighter said an Arlington man hit him with a minivan Friday after an argument about snow removal.
Arlington firefighters were clearing snow from hydrants on Massachusetts Avenue near Windsor Street at about 1:30 p.m. when a man approached them, angry that the firefighters put the snow on his property, police said.
Arlington police said when Leo Najarian became combative with firefighters, they called 911. When the man left in his white minivan, he backed into one of the firefighters, police said.
Najarian was arrested a block from his house and was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, failure to stop for an officer and operating to endanger.
The firefighter, Arlington Fire Lt. Brian Gera, was not injured.
